Choosing the right necklace length

Necklaces or chains come in industry standard lengths. This handy guide will assist you to select the right necklace length that will best showcase your jewellery, accentuate your best features, suit your body type, and frame your face.

 

When worn correctly, jewellery can draw people to look at your best assets and focus away attention from the features you would rather not flaunt. These chain lengths do not include the size of the pendant.

50cm Necklace Will sit elegantly just below the collarbone.
60cm Necklace

Falls at or just above the top

of the bust.

76cm Necklace

Falls just below

the bust.

86cm Necklace Falls just above the belly button.

 

The right point of the pregnancy jewellery is on the belly button, so the length of the chain is around 80-100cm.

Also the wearer's height, neck thickness, chest size and body type affects to the selection of the right necklace length.

About 5 cm can be added to the length of men's necklaces when looking at the table.

 

Measuring the correct necklace length at home


Take a piece of non-stretchable thread. Using thread as a guide figure out how deep you want your necklace to go. When you have found a perfect length measure your thread.
If the necklace has a pendant, consider the size of the pendant.
